Design wind speed is the defining local factor. A building in Merritt Island or Cocoa Beach answers to tougher numbers than one in west Brevard, and the engineering is done for your parcel rather than for the county as a whole.
Coastal exposure also drives material choices. Fasteners and trim are what decide how a metal building holds up near salt air, and spending a little there saves a lot later.
West of the interstate the county opens into pasture and ranch land, where the usual Central Florida considerations apply: flat sandy ground, seasonal water, and pad height planned for the rainy season.

Yes. The pasture and ranch land west of I-95 toward Deer Park is good pole barn country, and it is a short run from our base in Saint Cloud.
